There are so many reasons why Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) including In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF), Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and ICSI (Intracellular Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection) are employed by many parents-to-be, ranging from blocked fallopian tubes, problems with eggs (oocytes) or sperm, ovulation disorders such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis or adhesions, genetic disorders or simply (but not so simply) difficult conceiving or holding a pregnancy.
